Actually the best place to wait and see the sunrise is in King Kong Hill (it’s about 150 meters below Penanjakan 1). Afterwards, the adventure will continue to an active Mount Bromo volcano to see the crater. Climbing up Mount Bromo crater will take about 30 minutes, at the end you will climbing about 240 stairs that will bring you to the peak of Mount Bromo. We will spend some time at the rim & then head back to our jeep. Then we will drive back to the hotel for breakfast, shower, packing.

Day 03 : Ijen Blue Flames

At 01.00 AM, Our crew will pick you up and drive to the base of Mount Ijen, this journey takes approximately 1 hour from the hotel, passing through plantations and rainforest. This is one of the few remaining stands on the island of Java of giant ferns and plants, big mahogany trees. Normally 1.5 hours will be required to ascend slope of mount Ijen to reach the rim of Ijen crater and along the path, you will enjoy the stunning natural scenery with fresh air & cool temperatures. If the smoke allows, then we can continue going down into the crater, get closer to the blue flames. Going down into the crater takes about 20 minutes.

At the blue flame area you will witness the sulfur miners at work. They pack as much as 80 kgs of raw sulfur back up to the rim & down to their station. Don’t forget to take pictures with the blue flames as your background as proof that you have seen the blue flames in Ijen crater. The miners will be able to show you some tricks of the trade. Arrived at the rim, we can rest on the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2386 meters above sea level and enjoy best panorama of the lake. A spectacular view, the surrounding walls give the impression of doom.

You will also enjoy the beautiful scenery along the rim of Ijen as one of God’s amazing creation. Don’t  forget to take pictures in this area also  as a proof that you have visited one of the most amazing places on earth. After a bit of a walk around the rim & primeval forest, we will descend the slope of Mount Ijen. Our vehicle is waiting to escort you back to Hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel you can take breakfast, shower, loading bag.
