Day 1 : Pick Up Service – Waimarang Waterfall-Walakiri beach
Our team will pick you from the Airport. Then your day will start to explore Waimarang Waterfall. Waimarang is waterfall with pristine water and has height 2 m. Even the waterfall is not quite high, but this site is worth to visit. Waimarang waterfall is located in Melolo area – Watu Hadang village, Umalulu Subdistrict. Approximately will take about 1,5 hours from airport. To get the waterfall from the parking area we need to trekking about 30 minutes. This is quite difficult to reach, laid in the forest and untouched. We suggest you to wear proper shoes or slipper.
Waimarang Waterfall has clear and blue water; the water is very fresh and clean. We are allowed to swim. Swimming in beautiful place with scenery is so amazing experience. This waterfall is surrounded by giant rock, so even it is outdoor you are able feel free and private.

After enjoying the Waterfall, we will go to Walakiri Beach. Approximately will take about 1 hours. Walakiri beach is a favorite spot for photographer. The iconic view here is the dancing mangrove trees with the sunset background. The waves are calm and tranquil. So, everybody who visits will love this place.
Day 2 : Sunrise Tanarara-Savana Purakambera-Tenggedu Waterfall-Sunset Wairinding Hill
The second day, the trip will be started before dawn. The team will bring you to catch the sunrise in Tanarara. Tanarara is known as ‘Tana Mera” or “Red Land”. The local people said if Tanarara is a red land that covered up by grass. There is stone tomb that has typical Sumba carving. Tanarara is one of the best spot for photography, the unique of the hill and savanna far out of sight make a lot of people used it as a pre-wedding photography.
After enjoying the sunrise in Tanarara we back to our hotel for breakfast and shower. Then we will go to Savana Purakambera, This kind of savanna doesn’t have much difference with Tanarara, but savanna Purakambera has its uniqueness. There are dozen wild horses in Puru Kambera, usually they come to Savanna on dry season. The visitors can take photo with them and feel their wildness. Savanna Purukambera is where the carpet green met the horses. We can also enjoy the beach, its located close with Savanna. The beach has white smooth sand a long 3 kilometers. The beach is truly beauty.
Next trip, we will go to Tanggedu Waterfall, this waterfall is located quite far from parking area. We should walk and get through hill and rocky path around 30 minutes. But, this path never makes you tired because during we walk heading to Tanggedu Waterfall, we will see beautiful scenery along the way. Tanggedu Waterfall is favorite for adventurer because the path is not easy but the waterfall is worth for the effort. The waterfall has blue water and white rock around. Some spot looks like private pool and spa pool. The people call Tanggedu Waterfall as hidden paradise on earth. There is the highest one; you can try to jump from it to feel the wildness.
After Enjoying Waterfall, we will go to Wairinding hill, this hill is a most – visits for photography lover and scenery catcher. The spot is perfect for catching sunset over the infinite view of hills. You will love to be on the tapestry of the Garden of Paradise which lies between the abundance of green land and wide, beautiful and charming grassland vegetation.
Day 3 : Sunrise Tenau Hill-Lapopu Waterfall-Praijing Village-Waekelo Sawah
On the third day, you will go to Tenau hill. Approximately will take about 30 minutes from hotel. We should depart before dawn from the hotel. Tenau Hill is known as Sunrise Spot, the sunrise in Tenau hill is georgeus. You will be amazed by the color from sun ray and the beautiful grass.
After enjoying the sunrise, we will back to hotel to have breakfast and prepare check out. At 10 am we check out from the hotel, then the trip continues heading to Lapopu Waterfall. It will take about 3 hours drive. The waterfall is surrounded by trees and lush environment. The environment is calm and peaceful, you can breathe as much as you can and fulfill your lung with the pure air. Lapopu Waterfall has height 90 meter, and it’s the highest waterfall in Sumba. The visitor is allowed to swim and enjoy the fresh and clear water.
Next, we will go to Praijing Village, it usually called as Megalithic village. We can explore the cultures and villagers daily life in Praijing Village. There are 38 traditional local houses named Uma Mbatangu that means Big House. We can learn the philosophy every single shape of house. Every part has a meaning. This village is surrounded by shady trees and lush bushes. We can do many things related these house, including photography and exploration.
Before we check in to hotel we will visit Waekelo Sawah. This site is a small local irrigation that surrounded by stunning rice field. Waekelo Sawah is called as the unlimited water access. Even in the dry season, this water source is never dry. This site is arranged to hydroelectric power plant. Waekelo sawah is look like a natural cave with a pool in front of it. The pool is very calm, but the visitor can’t swim because there is a heavy tide inside. In dry season, when the water isn’t gushing out in megalitres, you can swim inside the cave.
Day 4 : Ratenggaro village-Mandorak beach-Weekuri Lagoon-Bawana Beach
On the fourth day, we will go to explore Ratenggaro, this site has become one of the best allures of Nusa Tenggara Barat. This village is located near a beach, so we can visit beach after exploring the village. Once arriving at Ratenggaro Village, we may feel the megalithic ambience, because of the presence of ancient tombstones and traditional house of Sumba Tribe. In Ratenggaro village you will find out local handy craft. Usually they made small wooden carving, or accessories.
Next, we will go to Mandorak beach, the superiority of this beach that makes it uniquely beautiful is the construction of the rocks and the waves of the sea. Only on this beach can you find the “Sea Gate” which in the Kodi regional language is called Mandorak. Going to sea by boat or just to swim and return to land, there is no other way, except through that door. When you come to Mandorak Beach, seeing the surrounding natural scenery is the most popular activity. You will see a stretch of white sand sparkling from a height. The beauty of the beach with rocks towards the ocean looks so amazing. In addition, clear crystal water makes this beach has a pristine atmosphere. Visitors who come here can enjoy a situation of peace and tranquility
After enjoying Mandorak Beach, we will continue to Weekuri Lagoon is the another most – visit tourism destination in Sumba. The bluish green Weekuri lagoon is a lagoon that is very unique when compared to the lakes in general in Indonesia because of its salty and brackish water. This lake is actually a lagoon that is formed from open ocean water in the lake range. The water enters from the crevices of rocks that are in clusters of rocks around the lake.
In addition to the nature of brackish water that is brought from the sea, the unique thing about this lake is that there are a number of springs which make the gradation of water color in this lake varied, there are bright blue, slightly greenish blue even some that feel warm and some are warm cold. Its uniqueness is very rarely found in other lakes in Indonesia. Weekuri Lgoon has very clear water with not deep enough water, so it is suitable for visitors to just play with water and swim. Hidden behind lush trees and shrubs and far from the city crowd, the atmosphere around the lake was still very beautiful.
The last, we will go to enjoy Bawana Beach, Bawana Beach is famous with the Batu Bolong, a rock wall with a giant hole that sits on a pristine stretch of sand. The best time to visit the beach is on midday till sunset time; both of them will provide the best view during the day. When the sun shines, the blue sky will look very blue, so will the sea water, you can see the blue itself is drawn above – and for sunset too, it is great that the sun will set at the end of the sea.
Day 5 : Sunrise lendongara hill-Airport
On the last day, we are going to Lendongara hill to catch the sunrise. Access to Lendongara hill is quite good, paved along the road although in some places there was a little damage. Like a trip to the hill, it is necessary to take a winding road and climb. There is no terrain that is too heavy, either uphill or extreme bends to get to Lendongara Hill. Arriving at Bukit Lendongara, get ready to be amazed. The green blanket-covered hill is like a carpet. It is said that if the dry season has entered the color of the rug will turn brown by the dried grass.
Lendongara Hill’s bumpy texture adds to its charm. Hills and valleys are alternating like eternal waves. Although quite far away, with the naked eye, we can recognize presence of a group of horses that are grazing fun. Feel the wind blowing on the face so fresh. Once free to see the vast expanse of savanna under the blue sky. It is guaranteed to feel at home for long enjoying the beauty of Lendongara Hill. After that we back to hotel for breakfast.
